Seriously, what is the wrapping supposed to do? A lot of Spyder riders wrap their headers where they pass behind the bodywork plastic to stop it melting and I seem to remember a similar story on the Marlborough (I'm sure that spelt wrong) Buell, but why wrap pipes exposed to the air?

It's supposed to be a performance tweek by keeping the exhaust gasses as hot as possible......In certain applications it probably makes a differance....in most applications it makes as much differance as a go faster stripe and is fitted for the same reasons.......aesthetics
