Hi

I need to make room so up for sale is my 1125r :-(

its a 2008 with 17k miles If I remember correctly.

NO clutch weep issues.
NO charging issues

starts on the button and goes like stink. :-)

This has had a minor down at somepoint and been repaired where puck woukd go but rides true.

Ive recently carried out the service using the painfully expensive red MOTUL synthetic oil as recommended here. ( have a little left in container that will come with bike)

A mate of mine is after one of these. I assume the gearbox mainshaft recall has been carried out, if applicable to your bike. Have the valves been checked and is there any sign of weeping from the water pump drilling?
Any other history - wheel bearings, fork oil etc?

I dont have any history to confirm items.
I do generally service my vehicles immediately after purchase and this was the case with this one.
there is no weep on bike, forks are not leaking.

Mainshaft bearing is an XB/tuber issue as I understand.
Clutch weep fault was rectified on this bike, stator issues dont affect 2008.

Thanks for that, I'll pass the details on. I too have a '08 1125 stripped down for the track. The gearbox bearing issues of the air cooled Buells are different to those of the 1125. There was a recall on the 1125 to have a brass plug fitted in the end of the main shaft to increase oil pressure to other parts of the engine. I think this may have been an official recall as opposed to an upgrade, so it will be recorded somewhere.

all recalls were completed. :-)

Have you put it on gumtree? I can't believe this is not selling at this money as I think the 08 with a tender is a better buy than an 09 that you know is going to cost you to sort out.
