All I can say is - not for me

the write points to it being a standard colour, surely not.

I'm pretty sure that it's a member bike, but the life of me I cant remember who :? . He used to come to Black Bear regularly. Steve Loxton would remember I'm sure

:yup:
they did a few variations , can't remember if it was just DG20 :?: or Buell HD that did them :?:

Norm (greatly missed) used to have one IIRC , the "handbag" more of a splash type design though :sun:

Aye. Come back Normie. Last time I saw him, he was flying out of East Kirkby (2014?) in OF's 'caravan'. Despite Martin being a big fella (and I'm sure he'd trimmed it to the max), the poor kite was still listing an alarming number of degrees Norm-side, so I know it was definitely him! lOl

IIRC Alison? has a S1 with a similar paint design (to the "handbag")

Aye, similar, paint splashed over rock, but to her own design I believe.

As stated in the advert, these were ltd edition paint sets from Buell. I saw that bike in DG20, before it was sold. I think they were a grand over list price.
Seeing this bike in the showroom set me on the road to Buell ownership.
Personally, I quite like it.

Good memory, Tigs :4roz: There was one just like it which belonged to Rick who I still see regularly. That X1 was moved on years ago and he changes his bikes remarkably frequently. He's currently riding an Ultra Classic Electra Glide ;)

I think it was more like £2500 over list as when I bought Muffin they had one of the red splash ones for sale at 10k instead of the £7500 I paid .

From the 2001 accessories catalogue:

The paint sets were $2.3k. I seem to remember them being about £1.6k over here but most things were 1:1 $:£ in those days.
