Probably based on the howlingly innaccurate 'howmanyleft' type of webmisinformation...

Are we not being a little out of date with our ideas on pricing, yes I believe £6500 is an optimistic price (good luck to him), but I cannot help but think the low prices we attribute to our bikes are doing us no favors at all.
I cannot remember the last time I saw a tidy tuber being advertised (Ebay, MCN, etc....) for the price (private or trade) we give to them, dogs yes, tidy no. Those that are priced anywhere near are sold very quickly.
Just a thought.

I think in my later ramblings, I very much said the same thing about how the market works? We're talking about bikes pushing 20 years old. The more desirable ones have, I suspect in the most part, already found their final home. Hence the less desirable will appreciate, simple economics I believe and exactly what I said yesterday! Just take a look at how long many of the examples are for sale, the eventual price is never published. But you can bet the more stupid of the prices asked for ordinary examples are never met. Unless you get lucky!

It might be considered over optimistic price wise, but all I can go off is past sales I have seen on eBay and autotrader over the last few months, and for good low mileage ones are going for over £6k, and I have seen an odd one over £7k at dealers and they have gone (how much for I don't know). These don't come up for sale very often as I am sure you are all aware and you don't see them on the roads all too often, in Scotland never. So if anyone does happen to be interested they can drop me a PM and come and see it, discuss price.

At the end of the day you have to want a Buell, they aren't for everyone, and if you want one, unfortunately there aren't many left in the UK anymore, so as such there is a small premium to pay for one for the exclusivity and fun of owning one. Just as I had to pay 2nd time round owning one.

Cheers

Good luck to the guy. A couple of observations - no free spirits tensioner; needs a 10k service at approx a k for a proper job; what's all that exhaust wrap about?; no Maz nipple; 6 left in the country? My arse...

But to be fair they do ride well :yup:
