Thanks mate, it actually is a bargain and its not a toy, I've made some great stuff on it. Like I said, it wouldn't be going anywhere but the replacement is an identical machine, same year and everything but virtually unused, feels like 1973 all over again, which is no bad thing ![]() Andy |

As many of you know, I have the next size up (Triumph 2000) and although Myfords etc. are more engaging and great for intricate work, the ability to take large cuts through difficult materials without distortion of the machine cannot be under estimated. Big lathes rule... I need CNC machines next to reduce the engagement further... |

I do all my work on a 2000, but Andy's machine looks in much better condition than the one I use. If only I had the space. |

I'm not the expert, just recounting experience of confusion... |
