Long shot wasn't it? No, I'm actually on my way home from here 22nd but I need to pay a flying visit to Muscat on the way, hence coming home via Dubai. No service direct to MAN from MCT, besides, I like Emirates business class anyway! (Especially on the A380).

OK, well maybe it's cos I'm tight, but I'm not paying 3,200 quid per person for flights, 1,000 quid pp is bad enough :!: lOl

Yes, that's a lot nearer the truth. Next year Qantas are flying non stop Perth > LHR, don't suppose it'll be any cheaper but should be quicker.

I read my ticket wrong, it was actually 1500 quid :o

Looking forward to non stop flights, as long as they are competitively priced ;)

Doubt it. Just one carrier on the route? Not much chance of cut price airfares there. Don't kid me on, I know what the rates are in Perth :!:

Yeah, but I'm a civil servant, not a day rater. Anyway, I'm not here for the money, I'm here for the job and the lifestyle. I've taken a cut in disposable income of about 90% lOl
