Not mine, unfamiliar with these calipers, but twin brake set ups do not come along very often.

They look shit but since they use adaptor plates to make them fit why not make some decent calipers fit using your own adaptor plates and then you'd even be able to get spares for them.

Eek! I wouldn't put them anywhere near my bike. I don't know if it's true but I'm sure I've heard early triumph 4 pot callipers were a direct fit. If you don't mind spending money beringer do a tuber double disc kit for tubers or do the double ebc 340mm disc with Harrison callipers. If you want to do it on the cheap. None of these are for you.

I have bought from down under before, shipping + associated costs are usually still less than buying from the US. Speaking as a bitter man who payed too much for something very recently, only for customs to throw big admin charges on top.

I feel your pain..... :headbang:

The silencers on my Thunderbird virtually doubled in price when I was sent the customs bill (payable before delivery but after the point at which you can change your mind). The annoying thing was I had been on the HMRC website and (mis)calculated the import charges before I ordered, I was about $160 out.... :o

Early Hinckley calipers are on 90mm centres ( I can do a physical check when I get home at the end of the week to see if they will go straight on a buell).

If the Triumph calipers fit there are a shit load of dual set up 6 pot calipers that also fit (Kawasaki ZX6R, ZRX 1200, lots of the GSXRs, I think TL etc etc etc). It is a pretty common upgrade to go from 4 to 6 pots on the early Tridents/Daytonas etc

If the above is true, also look out for Harrison billets for any of the above, I have a set on my Speed Triple - AWESOME.

I like those Pretech, I also like what Daveh has, they are cool, but being short of brakes keeps me focused, besides paying £1500 for brakes on a bike I do less than 1000 miles a year on would be mad.
Everything else I have came with decent brakes.

The 6 pots on Kawasaki's where awesome though for a cheap fix if they fit.

Pretech do an awesome twin setup which would still leave you with both kidneys. I got their single calliper after finding it was cheaper than any second hand Nissin I could find at the time. I'd stripped the threads on my Nissin when using the torque settings for the pre'98 PFM calliper (I checked the S1 manual, but am still a moron at heart).
Even a single Pretech will lock the front with two fingers, light and day over the Nissin, and better than the latest dual Brembo setup on either my Ducati or KTM SDR.
I'd love a dual Pretech, but just for the pose, it'd be as redundant as a South Rotherham coal miner.

I'm afraid the rumor is untrue, Hinkley Triumph calipers do not bolt up onto a Buell, the centres aren't the same (90mm Triumph vs 85ish Buell), but in any case the Triumph has M12 caliper bolts, the Buell are smaller.

Good. Well at least that has cleared that up. I always wondered if the triumph callipers would fit AFTER I'd spent a small fortune on the Beringer set up. I've never liked adapter plates :ill:
