At the risk of opening myself up to ridicule........ AGAIN......... I just paid £2500 for a 1999 X1, 6000 miles 2 former keepers a bit, but not much history, lots of trick bits on it but none of the basic mods/upgrades. Not been on the road for 3 years, bodywork REALLY nice, but some corrosion on the engine and frame from standing. Check out the pics in the "Forgive me" thread. Just picked up the frame from the powder coaters ![]() |

Have no other info at mo... friend of a friend etc. a Buell owner but clearly not an enthusiast. But I think it is a 2001 as he says there's a similar aged one on Gumtree from a dealer for £5995 (found it on MCN, not Gumtree). I suggested, as it will have had no work done on it recently/ever, and that it's not been run let alone used for years, that it's a huge unknown/gamble to any buyer, so IMHO it's worth £1000 to £1500. So we are in agreement there, Don. I added that a minty mint mint one with all upgrades done would be worth about £4K. His replies, "Dealer's book is £2000 based on miles & year. One on Gumtree now £5995 same year with higher mileage but from a dealer. Over last 6 months about 4 have gone from £4 to £5k" (Really?) "Not one of the last 5 X1s on line have sold for less than £4000 and those are winter sales not mint. I've just turned down a £3500 offer because the bloke assumed it didn't run". Wished him the very best of British luck. Dreamer. |

The mintiest of mint white low mileage ones went on eBay couple of weeks ago for £2.5k! Admittedly a dealer bought it and re listed two days later for £5995 and now it's no longer available so I presume he doubled his money. |
