Post subject:  S1 Lightning open to offers

Sadly after 10 years I have decided to let the S1 go. Currently writing up an
ad but thought I would post here 1st.
Keeping my Ulysses but since buying a Griso can't see the S1 getting the use it deserves. Also I badly need the cash and garage space.

so far:
Buell S1 Lightning. Owned since 2008, only done 7500 miles in that time but has been completely reliable, now on 11018 miles. Has updated primary chain tensioner. Rear isolators replaced by Tubbs when he was at Moorespeed.
Currently on a SORN, always MOTed until past year. New battery 14/11/17. Took it for a ride yesterday, still runs great.
Bagster tank cover (covers up blistered tank paintwork). Spare aerosol can for two tone purple/green colour touch up/code included.
Expensive Corbin seat, much comfier than original banana shape seat. Heated grips.
Stainless BSA B44 handlebars and lower footrests fitted for camping tour of west country. Originals included.

If I sell through this site I will donate saved ebay fees, rounded up, to help site running

Griff :(

I think you need a price say top end [like classified] then open to offers?

If I had the space I'd jump on it, bargain at that price. I would have guessed at about > £4k

:yt: I'd be tempted to go for another £1k, you can always drop a bit to give someone a bargain ;)

Thanks for the advice, maybe I should revise price and say offers around £3450 then.

Some people may be put off as it hasn't had all the recalls done, runs fine and never bothered me though.

BTW, 1st pic looks a bit pink, must have been a strange angle for sun as it never looks like that normally, just purple or green.

I would.....

I was only looking through some of the photos posted on The Emporiums Facebook site the other evening , and came across some lovely looking S1's (see photo). have no idea who the lucky owners are.

X1's have always appealed to me, but then had a light bulb moment when i saw those 2 superb white S1's

You have the opportunity there to make something worth while, in my opinion.

If i had the money it would tick my boxes ;)

Good luck whatever you decide.
