Hi there. What is the advantage of this shock over the standard? Will it increase the GVWR? |

![]() I have just fitted one to my Transalp, fine for bikes of that ilk or as a secondary unit for the Buell as mentioned by edd but I am sure you would miss the handling and ride of the original or better made shocks on a Buell, fully adjustable up front and solid on the back a bit of bum twitching to be had there me thinks [my opinion of course] Churchill |

If any of you are looking to upgrade from the overworked Original Showa I would recommend a Wilbers. I've just put a new one on my Uly and the transformation is unbelievable. It's perfect when it's just me on the Bike and still as perfect with the Wife and fully loaded Luggage. I also had my Showa Shock on this Ully rebuilt and revalved and it still wasn't good enough when loaded, the Showa the bottom line is the Showa Original was never man enough for the Ully with full Luggage. It cost £430 which hurt the pocket but on hindsight I would spend it again in a heartbeat |

A short trip last month I felt the bike was wallowing a lot... I have trimmed some of the heavier items from luggage so we'll see. Hyper pro have a good name also I heard. Similar price |
