Post subject:  Buell 1125R Drag Bike

"2009 Buell 1125r drag bike for sale. Change of plan so letting this go. DME arm, 68" (+-2") wheelbase, with integeral air tank and nitrous bottle holder. One off s/s exhaust, extended lightweight zx14 tailpeice, Nitrous express system, 2 maps one for n/a, and one for nitrous/C16. Has run 9.4 with previous owner. Have not run myself. £5500.00 ono. Poss part ex pre 84 harley or parts."

Advertised for sale on the UKBEG Facebook page by Bean who some may remember as a very helpful parts guy at Black Bear Harley-Davidson back in the day. He's not a big Facebook fan himself but posts on there as Von Bean mainly selling parts for pre-Evo Harleys. You'll find photos of the bike there. I was only just talking about that on Sunday with Joe "little but quick" Elliott at the weekend

Looks a bit more than an oil change, Gus. Hope the weekend went well for you.

I know Bean chatted with Joe before buying it and had planned to race it but seems his plans have changed.

Well tbh I've had better ones, started off quite good then went kinda pear shaped, had a couple of mechanical niggles, but the worst was the rear base gasket going from a slight weep to a definite leak hence the strip down at the moment, thankfully I've got all the bits to sort it,
I did run against a couple of pretty fast bikes, BMW 1000 RR, R1 cross plane jobby and a ZX12 got pipped just before the Stripe by the three of them next time I think I'll try York again seeing as it's only an eighth mile :twisted: ......catch me then mofo's ;)

I'm not sure there's much out there that will catch you over the 1/8th mile the way you catapult your Buell off the start line, it's downright impressive. Hope the rebuild goes ok buddy.
