Mate 'gave' me this to get me up and running a few weeks ago and now it needs to be sold to raise him some cash..... 1979 BMW R100RS, blue and silver metallic, heated grips, air shocks, stainless silencers, it's the full fairing model. Only thing that doesn't work on the bike is the electric clock, I think it just wants the terminals cleaning as it starts to flicker if you wobble the wires. 50,500 miles, long tax and test. Pics available. Offers.... Make a good winter hack.... |

I usually hate people in/on BMW's, but I feel strangely attracted to this beauty... I wonder: 1 Would it make a decent (winter) track day bike 2 Do I have enough room in the garage 3 Could I sneak it in without the wife noticing (Ooooerrrr mrs...I usually do ) 4 How about an auction As a starting point ... 300 of your CRMC pounds |

I may be opening myself up to ridicule here but I think this model was one of the greatest bikes ever made. Not many thirty year old bikes could you trust to commute on a daily basis. |

I reckon so, he's retired from racing and just bought a Guzzi. Doesn't want too much for it, other than a good home. Owners instruction manual with it...... I've got to put a back tyre on, I've got it but haven't had time yet... |
