Can anybody help me out with American gearing for an X1, I need the front pulley and the clock.
New or used in good nick.

I used the twins corrector on the M2 when I went to 1/2 american spec gearing

Worked a treat and dead easy to get speedo reading bang on

Seems always a few for sale on US EBay - bought front and rear pulleys and got them shipped to a US address and my son picked them up when he was over there on business - so they came back in his suitcase - wire brush and wash after a good soaking in vinegar and the front pulley came up like new - paid less than £45 for pair but I was a bit lucky for once :sun:

just be careful that you don't buy a blast front one
same amount of teeth BUT a narrower pulley

I can't help you here but am curious as to why you would want to change to US gearing ( 5th gear US being roughly equivilent to 4th gear UK / European ).

I had my first X1 in 1999 converted to US gearing by the dealer at the point of sale and much prefer the standard UK / European gearing on my current 2000 X1 ( aside from the stupidly high 1st gear which requires clutch slipping up to about 15 mph in slow traffic ).

i converted my x1 to us spec pullys , and i think it transformed the bike :yup:

US gearing is the way to go :yup:
Speedo healer is a good product to allow maintenance of your UK speedo,and appears to be very accurate, when comparing with my tomtom GPS
I have been using this without problem on my X1 for a couple of years now, great tech back up to if required. just my 10p worth

hi, i have a 27 t pulley in very good condition it runs a 30mm belt however i think it may be off a sportster and i think you may have to use a sportster locking tab as it has three holes as apposed to the x1,s two hole jobbie , i also have a speedo healer you can have pm me if any good , thanks

I thought sportster ones don't fit.
I got a full set gears and speedo from a breaker in the states, everything was as described, very good working condition, think thats the way to go.

Got what I needed from American eBay, fitted by Maz and the result is awesome, like a different bike. If anyone was thinking about it then I can recommend the US option

I've ridden mine on 1/2 US gearing for a while

Now considering going to full US spec - so I'm also shopping for a 27T front pully
