I recently bought an M2 Cyclone, just discovered the petrol cap is buggered and so leaks.
Doesn't look fixable ( black plastic bit has been badly bodged )
Can anyone recommend where to buy a new cap, not too bothered if it locks or not.

Cheers

Second hand ones (mainly from USA) are dear.
The buggered plastic bit can be replaced. As Richie said, try Newton who made the originals, and do a search as I believe someone somewhere was making that part in ally...
Oh, and welcome, fellow Hampshireite

Don't forget that from '98 on, Buell dumped Newton Equipment as a supplier and bought Taiwanese copies instead. When I spoke to the bloke at Newton about a new key for a '90 locking filler cap, he was still smarting from that move by Buell and he didn't want to help! That was a few years back, though.

Yep I have that very item fitted to my M2 filler cap. It works a treat but it's worth getting a new "O" ring and, if I recall correctly, a new 5mm (yes 5mm) nyloc nut.

Thanks for the suggestions,
Sadly its way more than the O-ring, it doesn't pull up anywhere tight enough because of the buggered black bit.

It's a common problem...
