Just on the off chance does anyone have any leads on a Moto Guzzi 850/1000 LeMans/T3/Spada etc project to perfect, for sale. Having owned a 1000S donkeys years ago thought it was time to get another big Guzzi. |

There are quite a few Buell people who are also Guzzi admirers or owners. I think, in many respects the big old Guzzis are far better motorcycles than the Buells and equally full of character, just not quite as interesting to own. I'd love to own one again some day too. |

My Mk1 LeMans is one of the 3 bikes I regret selling. Still the fastest pushrod twin I believe? |

I sort of regret selling my 1000S but at the time it's "firm" suspension led to back problems for the then girlfriend and as the wife now she has not forgiven the poor bike, or me, still. Fortunately she has long ago stopped pretending to have any interest in bikes and as such will never have to pillion on one again. My S1 and 750 Monster are both laughable pillion propositions in their own right. |

Great bikes, I had a go at converting a 1100 California into a roadster a couple of years ago. Didn't turn out too bad. |

Good looking bikes for its time with an interesting car-like dash IIRC. Never liked the look of the Mk4 that succeeded it. Like an Italian version of a CB/CBX but stranger looking. Having never ridden one, how was the reliability of the driveline as it was pre-CARC? |

A friend of mine owns an old 850T3, a newer Quota 1100 (duo valvole ), and a Centuro. His fave for general riding is the Quota, which is quite rare now! l prefer my 9SX, but any of his Guzzi’s would probably be better over a long haul, and will still be running when l’m struggling to find spares. |

Mmmm, interesting how many Buell owners have had Guzzis too. I had a Le Mans Mk2 for a few years and loved it, until I rode it into a phone box trying to impress the girlfriend. Traded it in for a Moto Morini 500 Camel and had a lot of fun on that too but not a patch on the Guzzi. |

Great headlights, didn't care for the rest of the bike. If they'd have allowed the MGS-01 to be sold in the US, I'd have been all over it. Especially with the engine out of the Corsa version. Even if they revised it and met EPA standards, I'm afraid, in the US, not enough people are interested to buy an old world air-cooled sport bike anymore, except me and some long time tuber fans still around. Shame, because the MGS-01 still looks good today. |

I've had a couple of Guzzi's as well. 2008 California Vintage, great bike but too heavy to move around. Back seat like a sofa so the misses was mad when it went! Bought a V7, much lighter obviously, but way under powered. I'm waiting for the new 850 engine to go into a road frame. |

I want another adv bike since my NTX wasn't as good as the R1100GS I had before. I'm waiting on mileage to pile up on the ones out there to hear of long term satisfaction and how well the drivetrain holds up since they removed the CARC from the shaft. The V7, especially their racer version, looks the part. But yeah, everything about it needs improving, not just the lack of power. I wonder how it would do against a Blast in a drag. |

I used to love reading about the John Wittner? Special Guzzi racers at Daytona in articles that featured in Cycle magazine. Developments that went on to influence the Centuro? I would elaborate if only l could find those mags in my archives...........so why didn’t l buy one. Couldn’t afford a Buell and a Guzzi! |
