Kev, have you managed to source a CR ? Why not ask the dealer if they will change the bodywork ?

If you have managed to source a black one then alternatively I may be interested in buying the side pods from you as I am starting to stockpile "consumables".

Hmmmm.......so how does that work ??..... a dealer sells you a bike for 5K with zero profit and then you want him to order in the best part of a grands worth of bodywork, so you can have the colour you like

.....or do you mean that they could raid their extensive stock of left over bikes and swap out the bodywork ?

that is a $5000 on the full MRP rebate is in the USA only

I was told by a reliable source that there is a rebate in this country on registration...

If there was zero profit, why would all the dealers be bending over backwards to sell them

There is a small group of White CR owners in UK which appear to be scattered around by HD to ensure they never see another. This is to ensure the mythical status; like the Unicorn.
Any attempts to disguise a 2009 model would end in tears and pointing with wizened fingers.

If you do change bodywork make sure that the airbox cover is from an earlier model - without the air intake behind the gas cap. As Erik finally managed to get a decent engine into one of his most excellent chassis he did in fact make use of a ram-air effect !
