I'm still looking for a high bar conversion kit for my 09 spec 1125CR.
Does anyone here know where I might get one?
I seem to have searched most UK and US suppliers with no luck.
Does anyone have a set in their shed perhaps?
Regards

I've got a set of risers that were from Trojan Horse.

The set I have are BLACK. No screws though as I have "reallocated" them.

Yours for a small donation to website funds - I'll pay postage.

But I cant say if they fit CR's. Check before you say yes!

Email please - lubuntu@telefonica.net.

You will need a set of bars, longer throttle cables and a longer front brake line - apparently there should be enough wiring on the switchgear.

There is a kit available from Buell, but it is on backorder in the States according to posters on Badweatherbikers.

2010 models come with the high rise kit as standard - it may be worth asking your dealer if he can order the parts individually.

If it was me then I would order just the throttle cables from the dealer and then source bars and brake line separately - there are plenty of companies out there that can make brake lines to whatever length you want.

Lastly take a look on BadWeatherBikers 1125 forum pages, as somebody is more than likely to have posted hints and tips on how to do the conversion.

If I remember later I will measure the length of my front brake line to give you an idea of what you need.

I ordered the kit (about £220) from Ryders just before the New Year. Everything is now in stock except the bars which are due in Feb 5th apparently.

Thank you for your help and suggestions.
I tried ordering a genuine Buell set direct from the US but was told that no more were available.
However, I will ring Ryders tomorrow to see if they can put me a set together from component parts.
Cheers.

Measured the brake line - it's about 30 inches end to end, including fittings.

Remember the CR does not have standard 7/8" bars ..........they are more like fatbars or protapers ....I believe a couple of people on badweb have actually sourced the bars from there and just ordered the hoses etc from Buell.
Even if the kit is discontinued the component parts should still be available as they are standard 2010 parts ;)

I would just buy fat bars or pro taper bars and have all the cables made up. there are throttle x 2, clutch hose and brake hose. Oh and new grips needed 'cos they have to be cut off the LH side.

The grips come off easily if a small screwdriver is gently slid between bar and grip and then something like acf50 or wd40 squirted in the gap ;) ;)

Ryders quoted £300 to fit the High Bars. I declined, they then phoned me back with a reduced price of £190. I am dropping the bike up to them this week.
