Stupidly, when I fitted my F/S tensioner, I didn't relieve the front plastic pulley cover. The belt rubbed, picked up bits of plastic, which then damaged the coating on the jockey wheel - all in the space of about 60 miles! :(

How bad is the surface? Surely it can be recovered...

Basingstoke......a place of much gibbering......bit too far, Maz, but thanks anyway.

Surprisingly, it's scored quite badly - sufficient to continue marking the belt now everything has been cleaned off. I did consider skimming it on a lathe but it's coated for a reason, I guess, and it would mean removing the anodized coating.

It may be going a bit over the top to change it, but the last thing I want right now is the cost of a replacement belt
