M+P were doing a set for about £40 recently - a bit narrow for the back but you can weld a piece in - worth a shot.

Eric.

If you want a front stand and can't weld, then get one that lifts under the headstock. The ones that fit under the fork ends need the l/h (as you sit on the bike) leg cutting 10mm shorter approx and rewelding. (and don't get the ones with a spike that fit up the fork leg or you'll knacker the spindle)

I have one that fits under the headstock you can have if you want to pick it up.

Hi,

I can personally recommend the front, stearing stem lifting stand that Tubbs sells.

I can't remember the make off-hand, but it works perfectly.

Cheers,

Dave

Mine is a Micron. It converts a rear paddock stand into a front.

whereabouts are you barabus? am in leeds myself...

looking at the micron stands - will the standard ones work for buell or do i need a specific model with the adapters and stuff for front and back?
the microns seem a bit more pricey than most brands but if they going to be supporting about 200kg for a few months i want something tried and tested.

I have a rear stand that you can have as well, it works OK but needs the cups lining as it scratches otherwise!

8-)

which parts do i need with micron stand ? some come with adapters / cups / hooks or just say "universal - will fit all bikes" - which never seems to apply to Buells

I have a set of these, from Demon Tweeks (primarily because I could pay online and they would ship them out here) http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/Motorcycle/Paddock_Stands/Front_Stands/Moto_GP_Front_And_Rear_Paddock_Stands/487/1531 They're a bit flimsy, but they do the job.
