I have an issue with popping and banging on the over run on my bike.

I've a Stealth Exhaust and Powercross filter and a Remus Poweriser....

The poweriser was supposed to sort out my issues but hasnt.

Is there anyone who can remap my ECU ???

What did Remus say? Are they giving you your money back?

You know, that is one of the things I like about my Remus exhaust...I love the sound of the popping and banging... makes it sound like a real bike, if you know what I mean!! :D
Distinguishes it from sounding like the rest of the run-of-the-mill bikes... (am I on my own with this?? :?: )

so did you try it without the poweriser fitted ?

i used to own an xbr with a stealth exhaust + K&N filter
it had a "race use only" ecm but still popped on the overrun a bit

you may be able to get that popping tuned out of the fuel map BUT you will need to remove the poweriser , as it will try to override the fuel maps of the ecm , IIRC.

Ive tried everything except a REMAP...

The reason i put the poweriser on was to get rid of the popping and banging... No difference.... Ive only done about 15 miles with the poweriser but im starting to give up hope :sad1:

Now thinking about shoving some packing in the exhaust but its a sealed unit.

I dont mind a bit of popping but even with the slightest bit of throttle it keeps doing it.

Tried to get hold of Jon the guy who made the exhaust but no luck....

Trojan Horse have said i cant return the poweriser as ive fitted it and theres nothing wrong with it!

Was going to get a guy to remap it for me in the States but too much grief

The only way to surely stop from popping on overrun is to completely cut fuel then. No fuel, no bang. There's no other way, and this is easily done in the system configuration. Just tick the "decel fuel cut" setting.

How do I do that?

I been told that ECMSPY wont work with the later ECU's

the only way is tunerpro - apparently :|

Also, isnt that a bit risky?

Why do people put up obstacles when help is offered...

Where do you get all your information from?

You wont find many (if any) people to remp for you and I don't really want to turn this into a discussion topic again, like it was last time - viewtopic.php?f=8&t=9213 - however, check ths simple things first:

1. Remove the Powerizer
2. Do a TPS reset (see here at the bottom of the page)
3. Check your exhaust system for leaks. Check at the head, and the joint between the headers and muffler. Also, check for holes in the muffler itself

Did it pop with the standard exhaust on?

If you can isolate the popping to the exhaust, why not try a different one.

If you really want to remap, you may find I am your only option in the UK  . As it is not my day job, you would need to get the bike to me at a convenient time in nice weather to enable you to road test till we got it right...

Hi,

Ive checked everything and its all fine...

As you say I might have to change the exhaust...

I don't want to make it into a discussion either, just want some to remap my bike which im happy to pay for.

The bike didn't pop before.

I did a TPS reset

Bought a poweriser

Bought a free flow air filter

Done everything

Had the ecu checked by harley and the setup - all fine

I havent done mapping myself and not sure where to start.

Have emailed Buell for a price for a Race ECM

I can go back to stock but then I would be £500 out of pocket
