I've been working on a thread in the Social section called Best Rides & Places South West. viewtopic.php?f=15&t=4550

First of all can this be moved to the "Events & Rides" section as I posted in the wrong section. Can this thread be posted as a sticky cause otherwise it will get lost in the mire of new posts cause I think if we could map out the UK with pictures of great places to visit then it could be a great reference for us all and encourage us to visit new places more often. If not a sticky then what about creating a new forum section called "Best Rides" etc?

TBH this could then encourage , a lot of camera vans on your fave roads..

paranoid who me :?:

you might be better off posting the "any one fancy a ride out to ? area"
then meet the locals who will show you the good routes .

Well Nutah you do have a point but I think camera vans are mostly looking for speeding cars cause thats here the revenue is.

It's a shame really cause I would have liked to seen some pics of other fav places around the country - oh well!

I would generally only sticky a thread if it had at least a couple of informative pages with a lot of members posting content which shows interest, other than that I don't bother :)

That is incorrect.

Well it's up to the powers to be whether my idea is taken up of course, but I think the idea is a good one. Don't have to sticky it just make a new section for "places to visit". The rides section is the closest but it's more about mates and chit chat about rides coming up rather than a source of information.

Anyways I started the idea, it's all up to the forum whether they like the idea or not.

Holy Crap :o You really do need help.

Anyway, curious to see what you were offering in the way of alternative information, I followed your links, and found various photographs of places quite familiar to most of us, I'd say.... even those of us who quite happily live 400 miles away lOl

I posted some of my best pics to initiate the idea. What do you want full tourist information?

As far as I'm aware the closest a Buell meet has come south is Glastonbury? Anyway this idea was to initiate/encourage others to posts their fav places/rides so we could have some sort of UK database/section where future rides could be sourced from. This won't happen over night just like the "How To" section didn't happen overnight.

Think this has got do to more with who posted rather that what was posted
