Hey Nutah, I think he is referring to posts like these, as opposed to PM's... I don't think anyone gets notification about forum posts.. I am sure someone will correct me if I am wrong. |

Just read everything, then you miss nothing I guess your braincells are more active than mine, because for me most things that are out of sight are completely out of my mind ~PM's are the only thing that reminds me I have a forum to attend So Ash this place is high tech low tech then bit like a buell ha ha |

They were switched off because people were subscribing to every feckin forum they posted in and it was backing up the email queue on the server because loads of people still use obsolete email addresses or feckin AOL and not picking the notifications up |

By obsolete I mean an address that has either expired due to lack of activity through logging in such as a Yahoo! account, Hotmail etc ... or one that's mailbox is full. Either way the notifications dont get sent or get bounced back. Believe it or not the server doesn't just host the forum it acts as a mail server and database server too and its something else I have to keep maintained. |

I would hesitate to guess that the lack of forum participants is soley down to the fact of no notifications of posts ~look how long it took me to respond to this |
