Had the AZ Jab Sunday 13:35. I was fine for the first 10 to 11 hrs, then went to bed at midnight feeling a bit heady, then woke at 4am feeling like l had a bad hangover. Knackered for 3 days and first dizzy feverish spells today. Weird :? Due to all the daytime sleep I now get the chance to catch up on music videos until 2am while the rest of the house are sleeping! :yup:

Wife & I both self employed so we elected to have our first jabs at 7pm on a Friday evening (12th March), giving us the maximum weekend time to 'recover' if needed.
We were both fine until 3pm on the Saturday, then felt uncomfortably achy and weary, like we were about to go down with flu.
Took some paracetamol and went to bed about 8pm. Slept soundly for 12 hours, woke up feeling absolutely fine. :yup:
Not heard much about people's reaction to second jab...

Over 2.5m (which is impressive) but they will be mostly in the older age groups (80+?) who, as Barney mentioned above, reportedly had fewer side effects from their first dose...

Somewhat strange that the covid 19 virus in general affects the elderly worse, yet the vaccine is the opposite its side effects reportedly affect the younger people worse .

On a slightly more serious note; regardless of ones thoughts towards the recent more active protests and violence in Bristol and other towns and cities, I notice that there was and still is very little by the way of social distancing among protestors. The police don’t appear to observe the 2 metre rule either, but probably by necessity

I think the crux of the new police powers against protestors relate to excessive noise and obstruction of traffic or disruption to normal commerce. Seem to be quite reasonable measures given what l saw in London a while back. I escaped with my van by a narrow margin one afternoon. :?

Although the new restrictions wouldn’t be acceptable in France where the disruption of all commerce on days of protest seem to be a cultural imperative! ;)

Just to add to the "side effects round-up", my bird and me had the AZ jab on Saturday.... I just felt tired for about 36 hrs, she got the full list :D 'flu like symptoms (weakness, feverish, the shakes, headache, achy arm &c.). She's not looking forward to the booster... Still, better than COVID , the "Russian Roulette" virus... You never know how it'll turn out...
