I have had my X1 in the shed for 4 years
going through some shit , but nowhere as bad as yours , looking after family is priority 1 allways.
IF you can get out on the Buell .
I took mine on the DGR rather than my moped, last minute change of MOT to the Buell instead
shit or bust moment i think
it felt good there is a place I don't know where but the Buell takes you too it everytime
I seriously was thinking of selling it before .
but you gotta have somethings to make that connection
hoping you find the future better stay strong , we all need that anchor in our life

Re: How bist?
Thank you for your kind words!
We do our best to carry the loss with us.
The good side of it all is that my wife and I are most of the times on the same page with things.
One says something and the other just had it in mind , it's weird but also funny and such moments brings a laugh.
About the Buell ,I know inside of my head that i need to get the bike running and go out for some rides.
I know from the past that it clears up a lot of things in my mind.
Every morning and evening I have a look on the February picture of my buell from the 2019 calendar.
You can call me what you want , but that picture does mean a lot to me.
The day i took that picture was after i did a surprise visit at my then girlfriend now my wife's work place.
She had some personal difficulty from her past in that period so I went by too say to her what she meant to me.
Afterwards i did feel awesome and the ride on the buell was if I had wings
Never knowing that our lives can make a strange turn at any moment!
I'm not really sorry for writing my misery on here so you all have to read it
, but it feels good to me for writing it down on here.
A lot of times I think back to my 2017 visit to the UK
Going to Em's day.
It's was a very pleasant holiday and i did meet and talk to a lot of nice people!
The plan is to go another time in the future for sure!
Cheers on you all and wish you a great weekend

Lots of stuff going on for everyone. Life can be challenging at times and reading this thread certainly highlights it. Head down and keep pushing on is the only way I guess.
We’re doing ok and I’m less than two years away from retirement - I’m so looking forward to it. The new world isn’t to my liking but I can suck it up. Fortunately life isn't back to the old normal yet and the place isn’t totally toppers with the normal halfwits
Time marches on.
The TT was amazing - booked in for the full booner next year and it’s going to be epic
Magz has a gig until November and is really enjoying the vessel she’s on, which is good news. Happy wife and all that
I managed to bring covid back from the TT so we’ve both been crook with it but almost through it. Just cold like symptoms, no biggy.
All in all we can’t complain. There’s plenty worse off that’s for sure.
Anyhoo… stay safe everyone and enjoy life when you can. We’re a long time dead. Live long and prosper

That mongrel looks really not bad!
Would be nice to see some more pictures.
Did you use the alloy taillight bracket on this bike?

hello Mees, sorry for your loss. I don't know how that passed me.I hope in time life does find you a new path to peace and light.
Thanks for your condolences Richard!
I haven't really posted anything earlier on here about our grief ,so you couldn't have known.
Nothing to feel guilty about mate!
I don't want to bring it up at any conversation.
It's most of the days on my mind already ,so sometimes it is okay to not think about it.

No, the part you made is on another bike .
This was built to go on pendine sands trials, but Covid put paid to it so made it road worthy.
Got to go back to mot place as he`s put Harley Davidson XL 1203 on the paperwork

Told him X1 frame 1999, I know Buell carried on calling them S1`s for a while.....

Different type of dayout, this builds up speed on hopefully hard sand, the others go for acceleration off the start.
