Thanks Mitch, when I get the chance, and with DFS' help, I will combine the two... |

Cheers Mich! Thanks for both the positive reply and the extra ideas. Firstly, I completley missed the very obvious point of "once you've done this, add twiddling your tickover (whether it needs it or not) and giving it a squirt of WD40, to your weekly maintenence task list". Blindlingly obvious, but I forgot to say it! Secondly, my tickover adjuster was always held on by two intertwined cable ties. I took some pics of how to replace these but I didn't send them to Pash. I'll get them off to him so he can add this point with pics of what we mean. The extra outer hose is a great idea - I hadn't even thought about this at all. Hopefully Pash can include that as an extra idea. Cheers again, Dave |

Dave the hose is held at the adjuster end the same way as the cable originally is. just dont overtighten the cable ties, the idea is to let the adjuster turn easily inside the hose, and the hose prevents the cable from wearing. squirt some WD40 or whatever up inside the hose occasionally to help, and also use antiseize on the threads. |

Can't edit my original post. The links for photos don't seem to work any more. I have uploaded them to my Flickr account ] |
