If like me, you have been remiss in the storage of your motorcycle apparel, and it has become mouldy, the following works a treat. I had this problem on both leather and textile items. Remove the source of the problem, by either washing the textile or use a damp sponge on the leather. Allow to dry. Then place the garments in a bin bag with a couple of slices of toasted white bread and seal the bag. Leave for a couple of days, remove, and the odious smell has disappeared. Yes there is just the faintest wiff of breakfast. Don't eat the toast |

I sued Nikwak tech wash and tx. direct wash in on my textiles and it got rid of the musty smell and all the road grime in them. About £10 for a bottle of each. |

Wads of dry newspaper work to deodorize, too; lightly stuffed into garments, helmets, and boots. |

Bicarbonate of soda gets rid of smells. If you keep all your m/c gear in a cupboard, keep an open container of BoS in the cupboard... it absorbs all the smells. |
