Set the Starter Interlock Configuration do disable the function.

If you want to disconnect the switch and not have the CEL on, disable the error checking in Error Mask Byte 4.

What does this mean I hear you say...

Well, I have put the bits that you need to set in bold. You need to locate these bits, using ECMSpy, or something similar, then change them...

Since these DDFI3 ECMs are shared between XBs and 1125s, and XBs have error checking for Adaptive Muffler Control (AMC), I can't tell you what value you need to set your byte to, however, with the use of simple arithmetic, you can work it out.

In the byte location table, you will find the location of the byte and the adjustment you have to make to the value...

0 Reverse sidestand signal polarity (high level with sidestand in)
1 Reverse clutch signal polarity (high level with clutch engaged)
2 Reverse neutral signale polarity (high level with transmission in neutral)
3 Enable starter with shift light output
4 Log SI input instead of AF1
5 Sidestand interlock enabled
6 Starter interlock enabled
7 Sidestand feature enabled (= 128 dec, 0x80 hex)
