Good evening everyone. After 10 years of wanting a full bike license I have finally done it and have brought my very first bike... I have gone big and just brought a 2009 Buell 1125R. I can't wait to cover some miles on the big Buell.... Happy riding!

That bad huh... Lol. Always liked the look of the 1125R. Out of 6 currently for sale in the UK... A 59 minter arrived at my local bike shop... So I thought be rude not to get her... Would have ended up with a Triumph Speed Triple or a 1050 ST had the big Buell not been there. Any pointers on keeping her upright... Or anything I need to be wary of... Other than the power and colossal front brake? |

You kinda said it all yourself, take it easy it's not really a beginners bike ( IMHO)... Don't know if you've ridden a bike of that sort of power, get complacent with it and it will bite you in the arse

Welcome  'kinell - nothing like "jumping in the deep end " - take it easy  Loads of info on the site - use the search function to find all the things that you need to keep an eye on - and look after your right hand

Hey buddy enjoy! Have a read up on stator if it's an 09 black frame model and post up a pic as I don't see enough 1125 pics bar mine. I have just done loads to mine so if you are thinking of doing anything drop me a line for best prices and providers.

Crikey now I'm starting to worry... Lol. Nope this is my first ever bike... Just love the look and had a thing for the 1125R when it came out. Yep shes the black frame one. |

Very nice! As its black frame get the rotor drilled over the winter so you don't have the dreaded stator problem which can be costly if you don't catch it in time before it fails. About £200 all in if you get the shop to do it then you don't have to worry about it. If your stator goes you can double it plus it always happens when the weather is nice and your bike would be off the road a couple of weeks. Are you leaving the bike as is or thinking of adding the lower fairings?. |

My favourite modifications to date are losing the stock mirrors and changing to bar ends as stalks vibrating meant I couldn't see much and getting foot pegs with a one inch drop as its less cramped and I'm only 5,11". Rest is just cosmetic really but it gets a lot more likes with the fairing done as it just looks a bit more of the norm. |

Hi everyone, Getting used to her now... Accidental power wheelies aside.... Whoops Do UK bikes need the reflectors legally or can I clean her up by removing them? She's also a bit snatchy at low speed in 2nd... So Normally have to pop her in to 1st...is that normal? |

Essential to remove the fork reflectors. |
