Hello!

Recently picked up my 05 XB12R Firebolt and i love it. As obvious as it sounds, I’ve really never ridden anything quite like it!

So much fun!

It has the Drummer exhaust, Race ECM and XB12S top yoke with Renthal bars.

I’ve read a lot about the breather mod and I was thinking that would be my next job...what do you think?

Thanks!

If it were me the first thing I would be doing would be to fit a free spirits tensioner to give the belt and wheel bearings a break.

Thanks guys!

It's pretty clean in fairness.

I was thinking to get a new belt and tensioner sooner rather than later. Should I do the rear wheel bearings to be on the safe side?

Also, whats the nipple thing? So i can fit a grease gun on?

As a guide, do the wheel bearings every tyre change. True story :yup:

Nice bike,

I have done all these mods myself not to long ago, words of wisdom from these guys well worth the effort.

Awesome!

I'll sort the belt, tensioner and bearings first then!

It's amazing the bearings need changing so often! Are they hard to do? I've done bearings on my enduro bikes and it's pretty simple.

Thanks!

The bearings are a piece of piss to change with a blind puller just be careful not to over tighten the spindle on reassembly as you will crush the spacer.
I don't know what all this business about every tyre change is , mine has done 34000 and i'm on my second set. I bought a spare set and they've been on the shelf for years. I don't wash mine with a power washer i'm sure that makes a difference.
