Hello All, Thanks for the add. Born again biker after 20 years. Always liked the Buells but never had one. Had a good sniff round some Buells at the Copdock show (Thanks Kev M.) Just bought a Ulysses. Can't work out the picture thing here so I will put some on the FB site. Its an '07 and way too tall, so lots of fettling and farkling (thats a new word) to do over the winter. This forum seems to be a great resource. All the Best Paul |

Welcome You've already met Kev so you've made a good start on the road to Buell knowledge. If you need to get work done then Maz is the man. Based in Manchester - you'll get loads of recommendations for him and others will post links and stuff. Enjoy |

Thank you all for your kind welcome. Been forum lurking; lots of useful info and very helpful - Looking forward to finding out all about this bike and getting it to where I think I want it to be. 'Farkling' a new word to me. Been out of touch for a long time - no doubt I will be using it like an old hand in the near future. Not seen any other Buells in Suffolk - I'm in Elmswell. I will surface with all the various questions that newbies come up with in other parts of the forum. Onwards! Paul |

Hi there, Don't worry about seeing other Buells, I live near Matlock in Derbyshire & I've only seen one other in over a year & there are hundreds of bikes every Saturday & Sunday just down the road in Matlock Bath. They are a rare sight indeed, but I'm sure you'll get as much support as I have in this forum. All the best Paul. |

Welcome! Looks like you got a fettler there alright. Good luck, hope all goes well. Will you unwrap the headers? And see if you can borrow/try out a low seat, that might make a big difference. Use Photobucket for photos BTW...It is tricky. |

Graeme1203 wrote: Looks fun. Were you planning on putting it back to a belt? No, I think I'll leave things as they are for now. A belt would have been my preference. The only disadvantage of a chain that I can find is the lack of a cush drive. I guess a belt absorbs some of the shocks.. Perhaps in the future, but lowering is the priority right now. The height is a bit intimidating at low speed. |
