Hi Guys
New to the forum , new to road bikes new to Buell, passed my test last year and bought my first road bike last summer, 2x owner 2003,Buell XB9s with 840 original miles on the clock , original tyres , belt , oil , plugs, air filter etc etc , never MOT'd and immaculate. Been stored for 15 years , dropped fresh fuel in and a new battery she fired up ticked over.

First big trip will be TT 2020

It's your choice, but I seriously wouldn't fancy using 17 yr old tyres on the IOM!

Just be aware that when you change the tyres it’s normally recommended to change wheel bearings as well and be very VERY, carful when tightening up axle bolt Not to overdo it ,or you could crush the wheel bearing spacer (aluminium ) and overload the new bearing so as they fail very quickly .

might be an option to take it to :maz: Maz in Manchester our local Buell expert :idea: :yup:

New tyres are a definite and thanks for the advise on the on the bearings, looks like the TT is off this year which is a shame but on the plus side there will be plenty of time for the service.

New pipe turned up too

You should think about removing the reflectors off the front forks too
