Hi, she’s 2005 with 11,000 miles. Pretty much standard in hero blue.

OK, for now the pin should still be in place in the the grenade ? but you should be aware of potential issues re. the oil pump drive gear.....bike WILL need a 10K service, which is very expensive !
Hopefully it already has a FS tensioner ? if not you should get one asap

Hi, thank you for the info, I think as I’m close to Northampton I’ll let Northants V Twin look after her.

Is the cost for the 10k service basically due to the forks? No FS tensioner fitted, but it’s on the list!

Cheers :D

With the greatest respect, Frenchie, it's hugely in your own interests to give Maz a call and find out what he has to say about servicing XB Buells, and the 10k service in particular. There's no bullshit, no hard sell, but the best advice you will ever get this side of the Atlantic from the UK's only Buell specialist practising for in excess of 20 years. There's a reason folks from as far as Cornwall and Scotland send their bikes to him. It's up to you now.

You'll have pissed Maz off, but that's normal, don't worry though, he's OK in the flesh :)
