Hi all,

Ok where to start.

I have been riding for 8 years now and mainly well actually totally I have been riding sports bikes, from Kwaks to Yamaha's but always 600. I decided to hang up the sports bike jacket and try something different. So I have just opted for a Buell Lightening XB9SX. It will be my first 1000cc bike well almost a 1000cc. I choose this model because for me it looks the business. I have to be honest I dont know allot about them but I have heard they are tops for handling.

Anyhow I have been to see one today and put a deposit on it. I cant pick up until the end of the month due to funds, so I'm chompping at the bit to get on it. I do like to personalise my bike so I'm on the search for some aftermarket stuff. I will be asking questions on this soon, but I guess this would be the wrong forum to ask.

I hope to chat to you all soon and perhaps get some meets along the way.

Cheers.........

If that's what you are after, I think you've chosen pretty well. 8-)

IL4 600's suck arse (on the roads) in my humble opinion. Great for track days I imagine.

Welcome. A Free Spirits belt tensioner is essential and should be top of your list. It'll give your gearbox and wheel bearings an easier time.
