As some of you may already know, American Cory West, AMA Superbike rider, will be riding the Splitlath EBR 1190 in the BSB Superstock 1000 race at Oulton park, 8th to 10th August.

We'll be going along at sometime over the weekend to cheer on both Cory and the Splitlath team.

Further details can be found here:

EBR web site, Cory West @ BSB Oulton Park

And I'll be in the paddock with the Splitlath Redmond team, a couple of EBRs for you to take a look at and some cold drinks if I know some of you are likely to make it 8-)

Steve

There'll be the 'rumble of a big twin' at Oulton on the 6th of August as well, when I take my 1125 there for a Trackday lOl

Can't wait to meet Steve, Cory West and the Splitlath team :P.....

I hope they show the race live on TV. Think it's scheduled for 5.55 if all timings run to plan. :yup:

An excellent day, my Guzzi passed its MOT this morning and we enjoyed a cracking afternoon at Oulton Park in glorious weather :sun:....

Thanks to Steve, Cory and the Splitlath team for making us feel so welcome. Team owner, John Dimbylow, gladly spent time with us explaining his relationship with Erik and various technical aspects of both the road and race EBR 1190's. His enthusiasm for the brand and Erik Buell is second to none.

Left to right, Steve, Jane, Cory West and John Dimbylow.....

Unfortunately I think that will just be the first BSB race and not the two Superstock races which were held yesterday evening, so no coverage for the EBR in the Superstock 1000 race. :(

Great to see you both, Chris and Jane :yup: Also visited by Flossy ( :4roz: ) and Martin, Time Bandit and Jason. Keep forgetting to ask Jason what his screen name is but he's my new bessie lOl Saw him at the S1 meet at the NMM two weeks ago, Deliverance last weekend then Oulton Park this weekend.

CJ is right about Splitlath's enthusiasm for the brand and it was a pleasure to work with John, Tony (one of the race technicians from East Troy) and Cory.

What a superstar Cory West is :worthy: Works in the parts department at East Troy, he's a fourth generation motorcycle racer and because he was known to race a bit was asked to do some track testing of brakes. Went out in a race with a $500 purse and beat WSB rider Geoff May to land a ride in AMA Superbike where he is currently running 8th in the championship. Way to go, Cory

Steve

Pretty good result for The only V twin racing in the superstock.:

http://www.britishsuperbike.com/media/1 ... ce__1_.pdf

25th, 54 seconds off the leader for the full 14 laps but the times were close, finished in a 5 bike battle.

Ditto that .Especially when you consider Cory had only completed one track day at Oulton before his debut on the 1190 which is vastly underpowered compared to Jap & German machinery, it was a admirable result.
There's more to come!!
