Kev has only just recovered to the stage where he has been transferred from the Royal County Hospital in Winchester to Kettering General which is a lot closer to home. He certainly won't be racing for the rest of this season.
We have now signed up Doug Cowie, a friend of a friend who has been the highest placed privateer in British Supersport in the past. He tested at Mallory Park last Wednesday and put in some very respectable times for a first time out. We had great hopes for Knockhill, his local circuit, this last weekend. Sadly he was hit with a serious bout of gastric enteritis which made him qualify last and put him in hospital overnight on Saturday. On raceday he was still feeling really bad and went out from the back of the grid and passed a few people in both races but did well to finish both races. A major achievement given our track record over the past year or so.
Next round is at Snetterton, our local circuit, on Sunday 2 July. It would be great if a few of you were able to make it along. I'll make sure there is somewhere to leave your riding gear and buy you a coke if nothing else
