I'll not be there, sorry. Hardly any sleep this week so no early start for me.
Have a great day all, and see you at Cadwell on Sunday :yup:

Sunday's Estoril/Monza/Brands tv sportfest will all be recorded ready to watch during the twelve hour downpour that will be Bank Holiday Monday :D

Kev/John - shame you guys can't make this event but it promises to be a good day, a bit chilly round the edges perhaps but the weather forecast is looking quite decent.

I think you might mean Oulton Park for the BSB (2 races on Monday)....plus there will be the additional race on Sunday, which is the one that was postponed at Brands Hatch because of the track conditions.... So triple header for BSB... :yup:

Yes, yes I knew that :D - I probably won't watch BSB & SBK anyway, I'll have MotoGP/2/3 overload by then - just watched all of today's Free Practice from Estoril. 8-)

Just back from the wolds run..by hell did it rain, the rain that wasnt forcast  but I think everyone enjoyed it, bumpted into CJ/JJ and Smarty and son(future Buell owner)..good ride home, bike looks like I've been plowing a field with it, but hey ho it will clean...right off to Duxford now for the Sping car show with our lass's SLK....let see how dirty we can get that before we arrive..

Stay lucky Woody.

This was our first Wolds Run and we had a terrific day. We were impressed with the professional organisation of the event and we can recommend it to anyone who appreciates the sights and sounds of classic/vintage motorcycles and Merlin engines :P... .

We managed to meet up with Dave (woody), Paul (smarty) and Alex from UKBEG. Although the weather in that part of Lincolnshire was wetter than expected there were approximately 250 to 300 motorcycles at East Kirkby. It was great to see so many gathered together to raise money for the local Air Ambulance Service.

The route for the ride around the Wolds was well marked out and took us through many parts that we'd not visited before - including a ford that was at least a foot deep ....

A few pictures to give a flavour of the day....

Woody and his CB750...

Come in number 8 and number 9 :D...

Just a small selection of the tasty machinery that attended the event today...

It was our first Wolds run today and it was absolutely great :D , loads of interesting machinery to look at, listen to and ride with. 16 Goldstars lined up.... stunning... 5 or 6 of which departed together.... now my ears are bleeding lOl . Great to see Mr & Mrs Woody, CJ & Jane. You have to admire the enthusiasm of people who bring out their pristine bikes in pouring rain, then ride them on filthy roads (lots of cleaning to look forward to Dave :ill: ). Mine was probably the only bike that came back cleaner than it started :hehe: (thanks to riding all through winter and not cleaning it).

We covered a total of just over 120 miles, two up on a 500 single and she didn’t miss a beat.... We both had a fantastic day. Alex has got the old bike bug....... poor lad lOl .

Some great pics CJ :worthy:

Looks like a great day. I really like that Red Triumph marked as a 'Tiger 80 SS'
I'm assuming it's a hybrid of a BSA B50ss or Triumph Trail Blazer but done beautifully nonetheless.
Maybe Triumph did make that model but I'd not heard of it.
Thanks for photos Chris :yup:

Triumph made A Tiger 70 and 80 as pre war singles, with exposed valve gear.
The red Triumph is the 'Adventurer' model that was a 500 unit twin in a BSA Victor frame. Very good off road, and now, very collectable.
