Not sure if you are ready to hear this but it doesn't change as they get older.....believe me, I have a 29 year old and a 26 year old!!! In fact the problems don't go away, they just change into something else....

OK...... I have contacted the organisers of Brackley Festival of Motorcycling to ask if we are too late to grab a pitch. I will await their reply.

If we are able to secure a spot in the club area, is there anyone local to Brackley able to supply a gazebo? I have a couple of Buell banners I can bring with me. I have to confess I am not sure whether I will be arriving on the Blast or the XB....it depends on a couple of tests I need to make on the Blast as to whether it will be up for the journey this year...watch this space!! lol

I wish others were more enthusiastic about this, but I am not about to give up.... it is a great event and those that have been before will vouch for this. Every year it gets better and better.

The forecast looks ok for Sunday, so please make the effort to attend as you will not regret it, honest.

Next year we will be more organised about these events..... :yup: :sun:

:yt: Long time ago I agreed to help move No1 Son into his first new home on this Saturday, and I had earmarked the Sunday for Brackley.
Now guess what plan has been changed... and what I'll be doing instead...

Well, as it's only a 20 minute ride from home and it's a beautiful day I'm going to see if I can ride at the moment 8-) Looks like we don't have a UKBEG stand but that's no bad thing because it leaves us all free to wander about seeing things and bullshitting with people.

I'll be doing plenty of that but how about those of us who do make it there gathering by the PA marquee in the middle of the High Street around 1400. Bernie is the DJ and not the man with the artificial leg :D If you don't know many people just look out for Buell attire.

With the emphasis on comfort and what I can get out of the garage most easily I'll be on the Uly and I'll even add the pizza boxes so I can proudly display the Black Bear logo lOl

Hope to see a few of you later :yup:

Good list, Jill but you missed Pedro W  Great day out, so much to see and so many people for me to chat with. Although Brackley is about 80 miles from Newmarket it's only 20 miles from home and having been around the trade for a few years there don't seem to be many people I don't know. Even bumped into my boss there. Although he still owns the business he retired a couple of months ago and seems to be enjoying himself riding about on his collection of bikes visiting events like this.

He was there with one of his old buddies, Paul Smart who was an absolute pleasure to chat to 8-) Don't like to be a name dropper but last time I spoke to him was in a hospitality suite at Redgate at Donington. He was with Tony Rutter as they watched their sons Scott and Michael racing in front of us :D

Steve
