After last nights forecast who'd have thought that today's weather would turn out to be so good :sun: :sun:...

We set off at 7.00 am this morning prepared for the worst but only had a few spits and spots on our visors during the whole 270 mile round trip. We wish every ride worked out like that.

We'd like to thank everyone for attending today. There were 15 bikes in total, 10 of which were Buells. For such a modest sized gathering there was a good cross-section of machinery. Jayne's latest acquisition, a Ducati 695, was a pleasant surprise and definitely has our approval.

It was pleasing to see quite a few new people at today's event - in addition to some of the old guard.

Jane is now the proud owner of a (modestly priced :D) digital camera so a few of her pictures appear below with mine.

Jane took this shot with the S1WL reflection on the 1125R fairing.

:D Great to see everybody and brill weather - thanks again to Chris & Jane.
Cheshire Police are off my Christmas list! Got a small numberplate fixed penalty ticket as punishment for flashing other bikers about a speed trap on the way home from an unmarked black Pan. He even had a black lid - and as for the patronising lecture

Tell me about it! Funny world tho' init - in one part of the UK they are giving out dayglo gear to bikers and getting a bit umpty if you don't wear it and then you get this character who would have looked at home on a funeral cortege

With the exception of Paul's encounter with the police ....

Thanks for the positive feedback about yesterday's event. We plan these things many months in advance and we really are in the lap of the gods as to whether they're successful or not.

Yeah great to meet a few more of ya. Twas a cracking ride across wales with some fine company at the other end. and :sun: :sun: :sun: all the way
:ner: :ner: :ner: weatherman.

Tell you what that 1125 with the reflection of my S1w on it looked fab. Should market this a way of making your 1125 that bit more classy without all the S1w heartache. Still it will never sound the same, but would burn me off without to much fuss.

I try to tell Mrs Rich that the S1w is a lot like me, high maintenance, bits occassionally break/fall off but fabulous looks and reassuringly expensive make it all worthwhile.

Thanks again for a great day and warm welcome
Rich Stone
