Shame it had to be cancelled but at the end of the day everyone can get drunk and slag each other on here anyway. (unless you're stuck offshore  )
I've been sat on the fence and non commital so far as have had my crewchange date changed from 18th Dec to 8th Dec to 27th Nov and back to 14th Dec so was just going to see if any vacancies arise or just turn up. Good decision at end of day tho.

I've just spent a very pleasant few hours in theSir Harold Hillier gardens in what is like a Winter wonderland.Council have closed it to the public tho because of snow  It is beautiful and has the biggest winter garden in the country but you can't see it cos its....wintry :D
Planning on going to bike show tomorrow (pending a.m. weather check) pretty much all motorway from here but that's no guarantee of good roads.

A pity, but even Alison can't control the weather. A perfectly sensible decision and hopefully it'll be rebooked when Beef is on leave ;) 8-)

Thanks again for all the work you've put into it Ali :yup: :worthy:

No worries Adam! Thanks for your understanding everyone, but I really do think its the best thing to do. The hotel have said they will come back to me with some dates as soon as possible.

Thanks to all concerned for this, I think its a good call....... we were beginning to have doubts, road conditions and weather here are terrible, been getting in to work most days thanks to the Landy. Two wheel drives are getting nowhere and are strewn all over the place :headbang:

Not worth the risk at the moment, roll on the New Year :yup:

Totally agree with the decision! Two sproutfests in one year? Superb! :app:

Well, at least it means that I don't have to sit up all night typing out Auction lists. lOl lOl
Gutted as much as anyone, but a good call. Even if most had made it, it wouldn't be the same, knowing that some of our friends were unable to get there.
I even rented a little Aygo for the weekend, so that I wouldn't smash my own car up! lOl lOl

See you all soon. :yup:

        Just got home from a day long adventure in the snow to the bike show and back and was so looking forward to this.

Tired and hungry tonight after we spent 21/2 hours stuck on the A180 not because the road condition was actually bad but because one HGV driver took another out causing both to jacknife and totally block the carriageway.
Had even arranged a Landy for sproutfest to make sure we did get there whatever.
Good call Alison but it won't change the fact that sproutfest was THE only thing to do with Xmas that i was looking forward too ...the rest is just comercialised garbage.

Stay lucky Woody

How many cans of Bass Shandy will I need to drink to get a bit tiddly and join in the piss-taking tonight online? Still no flying :headbang:

Fingers crossed I will be onshore for the re-arraged Sproutfest :yup: At the moment though, I am just hoping to get a few days home with the dearly beloved before I have to come back for Christmas & New Year!
