I was thinking the same thing as In I might kill myself...

But Imagine being able to say you've been around Silverstone on your bike!
Got to worth a go even If you don't go round all that quick, Who cares?

I would love to have a ride around the circuit, but would rather no-one saw me tiptoe my way round it, if you know what I mean. :oooops: It would be good to do it though.... :)

Alan and Jake (Sirwazz) rode on the track during the Moto GP weekend and they lived to tell the tale - just :D....

Compared to previous 'UKBEG @ Silverstone' events this has gone remarkably smoothly :o...

The Centre Passes arrived as promised so I've posted them out first class this afternoon - Royal Mail permitting you will receive them tomorrow.

Everyone will ride slowly for a few laps to get their tyres upto temperature, so don't worry, just ride at a speed you're comfortable with. I've never been scrutineered for kit on a Trackday, so if your wearing two piece leathers, you'll probably be ok.

to jill and anyone thinking about the track time
firstly they will stress its a few parade laps
not a track day or race

at moto gp after a few cock ups we got 3 laps behing the bmw m5 course car
yeah it didn't hang about but well within a bike capability to keep up with it
even with my feeble skills :)
this time i imagine they will try and use the megane course cars they wanted to last time, apparently dorna overuled everything.
also there were two goldwings going round so theres nothing to worry about.
my wife is also planning on doing it and i'm sure she would love some female company on the track
so anyone who's interested let me know so we know how many of us there might be and we can all get together beforehand :yup:
don't think they are that fussed about leathers either, i'm sure the goldwing riders were in textile kit.
i have a two piece leather suit
just make sure you bring your license :)

Thanks Alan. :4roz: :4roz:
I feel much more reassured now. I have also found I have a jacket and pair of trousers (both armoured) that zip up together, so I'm covered there if they enforce that rule too.

I always carry both parts of my licence and insurance details.
