I was at work and saw them fly over, then go into their vertical "Diamond 9" formation, before looping the loop.

We were commenting that they were absolutely brilliant.

Sad news indeed. :(

It was metres from our house Mick - so very, very sad. He didn't eject, rather just tried to get away from houses and even from dog walkers - a true hero and his wife was at Bournemouth watching. :(

Looks like the Air Festival will continue tomorrow........

In a statement his wife, Dr Emma Egging, described her husband as "an exemplary pilot" and said watching him during the display was the "proudest" she had ever been.

"Jon was everything to those that knew him, and he was the best friend and husband I could ever have wished for," she said.

"I know that he would have wanted me to say something from the heart at this time. There was nothing bad about Jon.

"He loved his job and was an exemplary pilot.

"I loved everything about him, and he will be missed."

R.I.P.

See ya tomorrow. 8-)

It was great meeting all (or some) of the hooligans today. It's a shame we arrived late - we took the "pretty" route. Even more of a shame, 'cos I was going to buy you all a champagne slap-up meal, then fly us all off to Paris, then down to Monte Carlo to spend and all-expenses night out on me. Hey ho, maybe next time... ;)

Well what a fantastic Day 8-) 517 very enjoyable miles on Muffin and beat all the locals to Sammys lOl was there drinking coffee with CJ and Jane at 9-45am lOl
Thanks to CJ and Jane for the organising and to MrsP and steed for the BBQ and hospitality afterwards
Traffic was very heavy on the way home until i got onto the M3 due to a 3or 4 car smashgoing onto the M3 causing massive tailbacks.
Apart from that the journey went well with just a quick splash and dash mid journey both ways 8-)

Just realised ..........................forgot to have a look round the museum lOl
