June 24th to 28th, Monday to Friday.
UKBEG Ardennes/Eifel/Mosel Trip.

I'm not sure what the level of interest would be for this trip but it's something we're definitely doing and we've booked time off work. We've provisionally booked 4 nights (Monday 24th to Thursday 27th) accommodation in St Vith, Belgium.

St Vith is a small town located between the Ardennes and Eifel Mountains, near the German border. We may stay Friday night (28th) in the Mosel Valley.

We'll be using Eurotunnel for both outward and return journeys but we haven't booked this yet.

St Vith is approx. 230 miles from Calais using main roads or approx. 280 to 300 miles using mostly B roads.

We intend to explore the Ardennes and Eifel Mountains on some great roads and further my interest in the Battle of the Bulge. The UKBEG trips to the Mosel Valley in 2008 and Belgium Ardennes in 2010 proved very successful so we thought we'd go back and visit another part of the region.

If you're not familiar with this area of Belgium and Germany here's a few web sites of possible interest:

St Vith
St Vith / 1944 Battle of the Bulge
Ardennes
Ardennes
Eifel
Eifel

The above trip of CJ's now looks an even better proposition with Lauwe being confirmed as on the 22nd 8-) :D
