There was just us two on today's ride but we still had a grand day out in Yorkshire...

Our destination was Hornsea, Yorkshire's premier resort. It was beautiful, not too crowded, with warm sunshine and just the right amount of refreshing sea breeze....

After lunch in Hornsea we had a great ride home through the Yorkshire Wolds and we managed to avoid the worst of the heavy showers which had been forecast for this afternoon. I think someone was smiling on us today - in Yorkshire :D...

Reminder, it's the next meet at Squires this Thursday.

First Thursday of the month, informal evening meets at Squires Bikers Cafe, Sherburn-in-Elmet.

Meet 7.30pm onwards.

The next 'meet-n-ride' at Coastways Cafe, Howden was originally scheduled for this coming Sunday 8th July but we're going away for the weekend to celebrate our wedding anniversary :P... It's now moved to Sunday 15th July.

UKBEG 'meet-n-rides' will depart from Coastways Cafe, Howden.

Meeting point location details: here

Meet between 10.00 and 10.30am.

Destinations will vary - Yorkshire's a big county so there's plenty to choose from.

Each ride will include a lunch stop.

All makes of motorcycle welcome, you don't have to arrive on a Buell.

Note: in the event of bad weather we will post a few days beforehand if they're going to be cancelled.

We left home in a downpour but the Sherburn area was surprisingly dry. It was a pretty good summers evening given the forecast, with a good selection of bikes present. Nothing with a V-twin engine unfortunately, so I pointed my camera at these classic Japanese models...

Well it's a quiet night ukbeg wise. Must be because of D5. Some bikes of note in addition to the usual thurs night classic 2- strokes. A BSA Spitfire, a 1090 Brutale with extra handlebar mirrors, must be tired of looking at his own elbows. A cafe-racered tuber. I'm guessing based on an S1 but what do I know. Too late to get a photo but sounded awesome. A Bonita Mantra, don't see many of those. A Kawasaki based flat tracker, guessing based on a 400 twin and a freshly repaired 05 XB12X. :D
