Can't tell you how much I enjoyed my first Spoutfest, it was really something else, a lovelier bunch of peeps you couldn't hope to meet :4roz:

Thanks to all the organisers.

Thanks to Alison for squeezing me in at the last moment! :worthy:

Great to meet some faces I knew and many that I didn't.

I must thank Jill for the smashing pic of little Joe!, a bit of fun, but something I will treasure for many years, Thank Jill :4roz: xx

Also thanks must go to Vanessa for painting my nails! x ;) and to Sarah for supplying the nail pollish x. I did get some funny looks the next morning when having my breakfast at the hotel lol :oooops:

Thanks also to Steve for giving me the nudge to get myself in gear and come along, it was so worth it, already looking forward to next year!!!.

Special Thanks must go to Kevin C who was so kind to give me a lift back to my Hotel, thanks bud, your a real star :4roz:

Anyway, next year, I know what to expect and will come armed! lol

love you all, Jon

pps, I'm not just writing this on Monday morning because I've only just got home!.......before someone says it! ;). I had a few things to do yesterday.

Have to say the ride back was lovely in at that sunshine. The bike looked like something off a Christmas card when I was loading up, very frosty.

oh, and he never missed a beat.

Jon :yup:

If you rode a Buell, you'd get home a bit faster lOl

If you're coming to Deliverance on the Enfield, then you'd better start off in May :rotfl:

I had a really great time again and I'll be back again next year.

My journey home was interesting in that Mr & Mrs Digger very kindly took me, together with Ash's swords to Birmingham airport without incident (thank you both for that), but with about five hours till my flight, I thought I'd see if I could check in my sword case. But I thought maybe I could get an earlier flight, so I went to the Flybe desk where a very nice boy called Anthony took me in hand, had a check-in opened specially and took me to the front of the queue. He told the check-in guy to take the blades free of charge and to take them to outsize baggage for me. But he couldn't find me on his passenger list, which was because I was actually booked on the 17:45 on 2nd February! Still Anthony put me on the 16:40, again free of charge! Well done Flybe, you wouldn't get that from RyanAir or SleasyJet!

That left me four and a half hours to kill, so I went to the bike show. £19 to get in, way too busy and dull, dull, dull! Only stayed for about an hour, bought nothing and there wasn't even a Can-Am stand that I could see.

I got home eventually, all in one piece. Thank you to Alison for her organisation and to Mr & Mrs JCB for their part in the organisation, for providing the arsenal and, most of all, for picking me up from Birmingham and taking me back in the morning. I'll see you all again next year, and some of you in August in Ireland and probably at Em's too.

Way to go, Eric and sorry if you wasted some of that hour looking for the Can Am stand on my say so. I thought I had seen one but can't be sure :|

My thanks to everyone for Sproutfest too. There wasn't a single person in that room who didn't bring something to the party. I'm proud to be a part of UKBEG and pleased to count you all as friends :D

And sorry I didn't get to say goodbye, Digger. I took the piss out of you driving down the hill with totally frosted windscreen but omitted to thank you for your contributions. Got to thank Kathryn for her laugh though lOl :4roz:

Steve

Sounds like you all had a great time, as usual. gutted we had to miss it :sad1:

So who got what in the Sproutfest Awards? It is surely the awards ceremony of the year, I was disappointed not to see it reported on the news. Any roving reporters who will share the joy vicariously for those of us who couldn't be there?

Sadly no-one took any photos this time round ..... I looked at the words I'd written to go with the presentation, and they just don't work out of context. You really had to be there.... :?

Thanks to everyone that attended & made Sproutfest what it is! Special thanks to Digger & Kathryn for the awards, & Mojo & Adam for their efforts in extracting vast amounts of money out of us all  Amount raised was £627.50 which goes a long way to paying our sever fees to keep this place going.
Hope everyone enjoyed themselves (especially our Sproutfest virgins, for whom I can imagine it must have all been a bit of a shock lOl ) hope everyone got home safely, next years Sproutfest is confirmed as Sat 7th Dec 2013, same place, same time

:yt: (apart from the thanks to me, of course) - thanks again Matron ... hope we can continue to swell the numbers again next year, and thus swell the income. Don't think I booked my room for next year, will do so tomorrow. Cheers all :D

:yup: many thanks for a lovely evening :4roz: , phoned hotel Trying to book a room for next year but appears you have already block booked / reserved the lot so emailed hotel and got my name on the list :D

Most of us rebook our rooms when we check in/out so we know we have one for the following year
