UKBEG Emma Radford Buell & European V-twin Festival - Saturday 16th July 2011.

Lincolnshire Aviation Heritage Centre
East Kirkby, near Spilsby
Lincolnshire
PE23 4DE
Web site: here

This will be our 8th event at this location dedicated to the memory of one of our members, Emma Jane Radford, who passed away 22-04-04, aged just 26. We'll also be raising money for the Papworth Hospital Cystic Fibrosis unit which looked after Emma. Last year we raised over £600.00.

We've had fantastic support :worthy: for this event since 2004 and hope for the same this year.

In addition to approx. 100 Buells, there'll be Italian bikes from Aprilia, Cagiva, Ducati, Morini and Moto Guzzi. British bikes will include Brough Superior, Hesketh and Vincent.

The event will include a Lancaster bomber taxi-run. If you like Rolls Royce V12 Merlin engines at full chat and red-blooded V-twin motorcycles, you'll really appreciate this event!

Provisional timetable:
10.30 am: Start time
1.00 pm: Avro Lancaster bomber taxi-run
3.00 pm: Avro Lancaster bomber taxi-run
Time TBC: RAF Battle of Britain Memorial Flight Flypast

The admission charge is £7.00 per person – but girls on bikes get in free.

Note: if you're arriving in a group of two or more bikes would you please collect your entrance money together and hand it to a nominated person within your group before you arrive. This would help to speed up your entrance to the event and help us on the gate. Thank you!

The Aviation Centre has full catering facilities.

Accommodation etc.

Red Lion Pub, Revesby: here
As of 25-03-11 the Red Lion has only one room available. Their other rooms are booked by UKBEG members for the Friday and Saturday nights, 15th & 16th July.

Just booked the last room at the Red Lion for the Friday and Sarturday night. :dance: :dance: :dance: :dance:

Can't wait and hopefully we will evn have some nice weather.

If no one has been to this before get yourself along as It's a cracking weekend and I would say the best meet to go on all year. Lets try and get over 100 Buells there again this year.

Good suggestion Ash - I'm guessing this is the venue?

http://www.blackbear.co.uk/contact.cfm

Will convoy be setting off from Black Bear for Lincolnshire on the 16th and if so at what time?

A finer bunch of people you will struggle to meet. Steve is Dealer principle and posts on here. He usually leads a spirited ride across country :)

There will be a ride from Black Bear to East Kirkby :yup: Meeting here at the showroom at 0900 ready to leave at 0930 for a gentle ride through the fens. Unfortunately my Sales Manager is away at the time taking a Harley tour to Spain so I won't be able to leave the shop myself. Jon64 however will be coming and will lead the ride. Please make sure you give him £5 before leaving Black Bear to speed your admission at East Kirkby.

Steve

Sorry about that, we've had to put the price up this year due to increased costs etc.

Over the years I don't think we've done too bad with the admission price for Em's Day.

Looking back through my records:
2006 = £5.00
2007 = £5.00
2008 = £6.00
2009 = £6.00
2010 = £6.00
2011 = £7.00

:hehe:

£7.00 still isn't bad for a day spent with good friends, assorted V-twin motorcycles and glorious Rolls Royce V12 Merlin engines.

At least girls on bikes still get in free. I suspect we may see an increase in cross-dressing this year :D....
