Post subject:  VMCC Festival of 1000 Bikes, Mallory Park, 9/10 July
Just had an email reminding me of this, and seriously considering a day there.
If anyone else fancies joining up for a ride down, or just meeting up at the track, let me know.

Kenny Roberts is the big draw this year, he’ll be performing on the OW60 – which will be nice to see & hear again. Huge number of big names will be riding, including Ago, Phil Read, Stanley Woods, Sammy Miller, John Cooper, Graeme Crosby, Chas Mortimer, Trevor Nation, Fast Freddie, Nick Jeffries, Phil Redman, Tony Rutter, Charlie Williams & Richie’s mate Korkie Ballington..

Over 1,100 Classic Road (Saturday 9th) & Race (Sunday 10th) Machines on track (SOLD OUT).
Pre-65 Trial
Exciting pre-65 Trial run on Saturday 9th July in conjunction with the VMCC Taverners Section.
Grasstrack
Fully competitive Grasstrack run on Sunday 10th July in conjunction with the VMCC Grasstrack Section
Sprint
A fantastic straight line demo during the lunchtime of Sun 10th July on Mallory Parks start/Finish straight.
The Avenue of Clubs & Autojumble
Over 50 Club displays which this year also features a large Autojumble & Trade area.

Looks more likely that we will be there on Saturday, although Sunday is meant to be the better day for spotting the big names of racing. Kenny Roberts will be on track together with Stevie Baker, Graeme Crosby and Mick Grant plus others. Also Agostini and Phil Read are around on Sunday too.

Definitely going to this on the Saturday, so if anyone is likely to also be going on the Saturday let me know. should be a great weekend, whichever day you go!! :yup:

I've been leaving the decision until today.
I've nothing else in the diary, but I'm going to have to give it a miss, I'm running on empty this week :(
10 mile hill walk on Sunday. Tomorrow will mostly be spent catching up on sleep.

Lovely day spent in the company of Digger, K and Sheepy 8-)
Some seriously nice bikes and I think there were a few heroes from my youth knocking around.
The Nortons were the highlight for me.......Rotary wankels never sounded so good 8-) 8-)
