Hopefully heading Here on Sunday. Other than Gaydon and Sunrising Hill, any other recommended vantage points? |

sunrising hill probably best, plus you can give them a push up when they break down we're just down the road if you fancy a brew |

A nice early Sunday morning start; see Y'all at the museum. I've never been to this before. I'll probably take the scenic route up via Stow on the Wold etc. |

Yesterday’s Banbury Run was fantastic and well worth the 394-mile round trip spread over two days. With 400+ veteran and vintage motorcycles on display and then being ridden, it had all the right ingredients for one of the best motorcycle events we’ve attended. There were plenty of rare makes present, some of which we’d never heard of before; and everybody was so friendly and keen to talk about their machines history. We thoroughly enjoyed our first visit to the Banbury Run and it certainly won’t be our last. Many of the machines taking part in the run weren’t gleaming restorations. There were a few that wouldn’t have looked out of place in the National Motorcycle Museum in Solihull but most looked as though they’d been in the same family since they were bought new and then used by several generations. Several had rusty petrol tanks, wheel rims and cycle parts; and nearly all carried their original patina with pride. The oldest machine was a 1903 Quadrant Banking Tricycle, but most were from the 1920’s with a handful from 1930. The run is open to all machines manufactured before 31st December 1930. We managed to meet up with Pashley senior and junior, Dave and Julie from Northants V-Twin and Tony (Deepsix) Nick's dad, Tony, was riding his 1929 493cc Sunbeam 90. We loved his entry in the programme: ‘After 4 finishes on the trot I’m carrying lots of spanners, my luck can’t last forever’. Dave and Julie were riding a 1930 BSA 250cc and 1928 Raleigh 250cc respectively. Hopefully they all made it back to the Motor Museum successfully.

A few phone shots, my camera packed up for some reason? I went for a bimble along the country lanes with the old bikes, some make good progress, others chuff away and inevitably quite a few by the side of the road being fettled. Quite easy to follow the groups, just look at which direction the oil trails go at junctions Some of the riders must have been roasting; I had fully vented textiles on and was very hot on the ride back at modern speeds, lots were in heavy wool period costume and only doing about 30-40mph
