Come back to Buell...

Continuing our recent theme of events 'having very little to do with Buells' :hehe:......

Of possible interest to UKBEG members is the Great Western Italian Day on Sunday 9th September.

The event is being held at the Great Western Railway Steam Museum, Swindon.

A day spent in the presence of classic Italian vehicles and GWR steam engines - does it get any better? :P :P

Full event and location details can be found on the Italian Auto Moto Club web site.

FYI - we'll be at STEAM from around 9.30 am on Sunday morning, the GWID 2012 event runs from 10.00 till 4.00.

To make the most of this spell of good weather :sun: were travelling down on Saturday and exploring the Cotswolds etc. We've found a nice little country pub for Saturday night through Yorkshirefolkslastminutebargainaccommodationatareasonableprice.com :D

I'm off out with the Bath Classics Sunday on their 5 Horses Run.

A bit after (OK, a lot after :oooops:) the event but a lack of free time this week has delayed posting details of last Sunday's GWID 2012 until today. And seeing as I've gone to so much trouble to sort some pictures you're getting them now, whether you want to see them or not :D ...

We made the most of last weekend's great weather and spent Saturday afternoon touring around the region. Most notable roads were the A361, and the B4000, B4001, B4507, B4508 through the Lambourn Downs. According to the road signs we were riding through the 'Valley of the Race Horse', we didn't see any race horses but we did see some beautiful countryside on pretty much traffic free roads.

The Steam museum itself is well worth a visit, it has great facilities and is the perfect place to hold an event. We managed to meet up with Steve (coopersaucepipe) and had a chat about his local roads, it seems we'd been on most of the best ones.
