I don't know where you get your exchange rates from? But the euro hasn't been at 1.4 since November 2007.

It's currently averaging 1.22. It was 1.2481 on Friday.

If you wanted to sell Euros to the bank to get pounds, like what they spend in Wales, you would be paying a good 10% more than the 1.24 that you see on x-rates.com today.

A world without markups and commissions would be great...

Agreed 8-) I was just pointing out that the exchange rate isn't 1.41, it's averaging 1.22. I wish it was 1.4. as I have an income from U.K.
Comission is another thing.
Anyway, the difference is a fiver. At least there's no postage to pay ;)
