You beat me to it!
The Lord Mayor (or Frank, if you bump into him) is a life-long biker and all round good guy. He's been trying all year to get someone to take up the baton and resurrect Pompey Bike Nights and hopes that this event will prompt someone / some club to do so. This should still be a good bash even if it does remains a one-off.

Also on this day is the Vincent Owners' Club meet at which Kev (cyclonedude) & I have always been made most welcome. For some strange reason they consider Buells to be very acceptable company for their Vinnies!
Would be nice to hit them with a wall of sound if we ride in en masse from the Portsmouth Guildhall Square do for a spot of lunch...

It's at 'The Flowerpots', just off the A272 between Petersfield and Winchester (be aware of the policing levels likely on the 272 if it's a nice day...)
The Flowerpots is cash only btw.

If you want to do the ride-in 'road-captain' style :roll: under the RBL... believe it's leaving IBM North Harbour car park at 10:00, Gill, I heard that the car park is open from 09:00.
Although I don't enjoy riding in a big group amongst people I don't know... especially if they have long 'taches and are wearing leather chaps... it's an experience... don't knock it 'til you've tried it etc
Or just roll up at GHSquare in your own time (and style ;) ).
As previously mentioned, I'll be pushing off to Cheriton for lunch with the Vincent boys after an hour or so; if you're thinking of doing that too, make sure you don't get blocked-in in the centre of the Square...

Let's hope it raised lots for Alzheimer's and Oncology care but as a motorcycle show it missed the mark by a mile.... unless you were into Hardleys or Vespas. The locals turned out in force so at least they got to see the sorts of bikes they wanted to see. I expect.
Pushed off early to Cheriton on a route that avoided the A3, A272 and A32, finding some wonderful new roads (that in previous haste to get somewhere, I had never explored) including one called Wheeley Down Road lOl , and had a lovely afternoon with the Vincent boys :sun: One of the advantages of being with old British bikers with old British bikes is that they always have plenty of old British tools with them....

Dave from Scotland, I have only one word to say to you;
